New Narratives, PLLC

New Narratives was founded by Dr. Ashley Dolan, a licensed Clinical Psychologist. After completing her undergraduate education at the University of Michigan, Dr. Dolan received her master’s and doctorate degrees from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. During her doctoral program, she received extensive training in a group practice, university counseling center, and inpatient hospital. She then completed her APA-Accredited Internship at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and her Postdoctoral Fellowship at Manhattanville College. She worked for IMA Group in New York City providing organizational assessments before relocating to Chicago where she opened New Narratives. While trained as a generalist, she has a passion for strengthening interpersonal relationships and working to address concerns that hinder individuals from living fulfilling lives. She is also committed to strong clinical training for psychologists and relishes the opportunity to mentor and supervise psychology professionals at all levels. New Narratives is joined by Gioia Pirrello, a pre-licensed clinical postdoctoral fellow to our staff. Dr. Pirrello completed her undergraduate education at Bennington College, after which she received her master’s and doctorate degrees from Adler University. During her doctoral program, she received training in an inpatient hospital, university counseling center, and private group practice. She then completed her APA-accredited internship at Shared Vision Psychological Services in Oakbrook, Illinois. She brings a curiosity, openness, and sense of play into her work with clients to help them gain greater insight into themselves and their histories. She currently works under the direct supervision of Dr. Ashley Dolan.
